Villa Mondragone is one of the most beautifull “Ville Tuscolane”. Owned by the University since 1981 it has, throught the centuries, been a theatre of important events as well as the the residence of popes and famous families. Emerging from the ruins of the Villa of the Quintili, who were Roman consuls, it was in its maximum splendour during the epoc of the Borghese family. In the 1800‘s it underwent a period of slow decline until it was finally abandoned. In 1981 it was sold by the Order of the Jesuits to the University. The property includes 18 hectares of parkland, at the centre of which Villa Mondragone can be found. The Villa, facing Roma, is situated on high ground in a panoramic position and covers 80,000 square meters. The restructured section of the Villa includes the “Sala degli Svizzeri”, which is used as a conference room accomodating about 150 peolple, six meetings rooms, a library, a gallery for exhibits. It located in area called Castelli Romani (Alban Hills), this area is about 20 km south-east of Rome
